HOW TELEHEADACHE WORKS
Headache care, made simpler.
Complete your assessment online. A licensed clinician reviews it within 24 hours of submission and recommends your next step.
An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis, prescription, or specific medication.

The review window starts after you submit a completed assessment. Pharmacy, insurance, and delivery timelines are separate.
1) Get Started
Start on your schedule.
No routine referral or previous diagnosis needed.
Check your eligibility

Your initial assessment is included.

Tell us your symptoms, health history, medicines, and treatments tried.
Have your medication list and prior treatment details nearby.
2) Clinical Review
Your history.
A clinician’s judgment.
A licensed clinician reviews your history and makes every treatment decision.
Technology organizes your information; your clinician makes the decision.
AFTER YOUR REVIEW
The next step follows your needs.
A treatment plan
Your clinician explains the plan and prescribes medication when appropriate.
More information or video
Your clinician may need more answers or a video evaluation.
Another level of care
Some symptoms need examination, testing, or urgent or emergency care.
TeleHeadache prescribes only noncontrolled medications. A prescription or a specific medication is never guaranteed.
Video, when it helps.
Most routine care is online, without a live appointment. Video is available by choice or when required.
$200 per visit
Optional consultation
Choose a live conversation about your care.
$75 per visit
Clinically required evaluation
When a live review is needed, the clinical decision pauses until the visit is complete.
Video is billed separately from membership. It does not replace emergency care or guarantee a prescription. Some patients need an in-person evaluation.
3) Medication Access
From prescription to pharmacy.
If prescribed, medication moves to your pharmacy.
Prescription handoff
Your clinician sends your prescription and supporting information.
Coverage and cost
Your pharmacy may handle insurance and prior authorization. Your insurer decides coverage; your pharmacy confirms cost.
Pickup or delivery
Confirm your details with the pharmacy. It dispenses medication and arranges available pickup or delivery.
Medication costs are separate. Coverage, availability, cost, and delivery vary. Tell your clinician about access problems.

4) Ongoing Care
A plan is the beginning.
Keep your care moving with check-ins and treatment review.
Notice the patterns
Track headache days, medicines, and treatment response.
Keep your clinician informed
Send care questions through limited secure messaging. Nonurgent clinical replies are expected in about 1 business day (Eastern Time).
Review and adjust
Your clinician reviews response and safety before treatment changes or refills. Refills are not automatic.
Stable patients do not need routine video visits solely to remain in care when asynchronous follow-up is clinically appropriate.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Questions before you begin.
A few practical answers about starting and continuing care.
Explore all FAQs →Do I need a previous migraine diagnosis?
No. You can begin with or without a previous headache or migraine diagnosis. Your clinician reviews your symptoms, medical history, and prior treatments to determine the appropriate next step.
Who reviews my assessment?
A licensed clinician independently reviews your completed assessment and makes the diagnostic and treatment decisions.
What if the first treatment does not work?
Tell your clinician about treatment benefit, side effects, access problems, or changes in your headache pattern. Your clinician can reassess the plan and may adjust treatment, ask for more information, or recommend video or another type of evaluation.
Can I use insurance for medication?
The pharmacy may process your medication insurance. Coverage, prior authorization, copays, deductibles, and availability vary. Membership and medication costs are separate, and insurance approval is not guaranteed.
How do refills work?
Complete any required check-ins so your clinician can review benefit, side effects, and safety. Refills depend on active membership, clinical appropriateness, and pharmacy or insurance processing. They are not automatic.
