Before you begin

Start with the basics.

  1. You are 18 or older.

  2. You are physically in Florida when care is provided.

  3. You have recurring headaches and are not seeking emergency care.

  4. You can share a complete headache and medical history.

  5. You understand membership is cash-pay, medication costs are separate, and prescriptions are not guaranteed.

This guide does not confirm eligibility. Clinician review determines suitability.

The right level of care

Your history shapes the next step.

Your clinician determines the appropriate route. TeleHeadache does not prescribe controlled substances.

Online assessment and review

A clinician reviews your submitted assessment. Some patients can be treated without a live visit.

A little more information

Your clinician may ask follow-up questions through the secure portal before deciding on treatment.

A live video conversation

Optional video is $200; clinically required video is $75, separate from membership. Neither guarantees treatment or replaces every examination.

An in-person evaluation

New, changing, atypical, or complex symptoms may require examination, testing, or another specialist before online treatment.

Do not wait for online review

Get emergency care now

If you have a sudden severe headache, new weakness, difficulty speaking, confusion, fainting, seizure, severe injury, or another potentially life-threatening symptom, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department now. Do not wait for TeleHeadache review.

Call 911

Other symptoms need prompt attention

A major new or worsening pattern, fever, new headache during pregnancy or postpartum, or symptoms after injury may need urgent evaluation. Seek prompt medical care.

TeleHeadache does not provide emergency care or immediate medical response.

One standard of care

All plans include assessment and ongoing care. Check eligibility free; enroll and pay before the full assessment. Membership renews automatically until canceled.

Read membership terms

Clinical review within 24 hours

The review window starts after complete submission. Pharmacy, insurance, and delivery follow separate timelines.

Coverage and eligibility

Cash-pay does not mean every insurance situation is eligible.

Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, combined Medicare/Medicaid, and TRICARE For Life cannot use standard membership unless TeleHeadache confirms an approved separate pathway; availability is not guaranteed. Medicaid and other TRICARE plans need review before enrollment.

Uninsured patients may enroll if otherwise eligible. VA, CHAMPVA, FEHB, or PSHB coverage alone does not exclude you; other coverage still matters. TeleHeadache does not accept or process VA Community Care referrals or authorizations.

A few common questions

Still deciding?

Explore all FAQs
Can I use TeleHeadache if I already see a neurologist?

Possibly. Share your existing care plan. TeleHeadache does not replace all neurology services.

Can I come just for a refill?

An existing prescription still needs independent clinical review. Refills are not automatic or guaranteed.

What if I am under 18 or outside Florida?

The service is for adults 18+ physically in Florida when care is provided. Younger patients should see an appropriate pediatric clinician. Request availability in my state.

What if online care is not appropriate after I enroll?

Your clinician will recommend the next step. Review the membership and refund policy before payment; membership pays for evaluation and care, not a guaranteed prescription.
